Salim, Lotte launch e-commerce site in Indonesia
Asian conglomerates invest $100 million, targeting female shoppers

iLotte targets women by offering clothes, cosmetics and other lifestyle goods, as well exclusive South Korean cosmetics products
JAKARTA -- A joint venture between two major Asian family businesses, Salim Group of Indonesia and South Korea's Lotte, officially launched its e-commerce platform on Tuesday.
The new online website and app, called iLotte, will be operated by Indo Lotte Makmur, a 50-50 joint venture established by the two conglomerates last year. Indo Lotte will initially invest $100 million for the e-commerce business, which will primarily target women by offering items such as clothes, cosmetics and other lifestyle goods, as well exclusive South Korean cosmetic products. Shoppers will be able to accumulate points that can be used to receive discounts on future purchases
