Strategic investment fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd has raised RM100 million from the second tranche of Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) sukuk.
The fund said in a statement today that the proceeds will be used to fund rollout of Trust Schools Programme to more schools in the country.
"The settlement date of the SRI Sukuk will be on 8 August 2017. Ihsan issued the first tranche of RM100 million SRI Sukuk in 2015, under its RM1.0bn Sukuk Programme," Khazanah said in its note.
It explained that proceeds from the second tranche will fund the rollout of Yayasan AMIR’s Trust Schools Programme, reaching as many as 20 schools.
